Depression

Depression can leave you feeling hopeless, stuck, irritable, sad and angry. When we’re depressed we can’t see a way out and everything feels too difficult to do. The severity of depression can range from person to person.. If you are experiencing depression, you are not alone. Depression is often a symptom of something deeper going on within us that needs to be resolved. Usually there is some past experience, trauma or limiting belief we are carrying deep within that is weighing heavy in our hearts and affecting how we experience life. Therapy can be a great way to find support and guidance to get to the root of your depression and take the steps necessary to heal.

Anxiety

In its simplest form anxiety is fear or worry about the future. Anxiety can be a normal human condition and for some people it’s manageable and blows over without interfering in their lives. On the other hand, anxiety can wreak havoc in our lives and make it difficult to complete simple tasks. It can leave us feeling powerless and create great angst in us as we anticipate it coming on. Anxiety symptoms can include heart palpitations, racing thoughts, sweaty palms, shallow breathing and in extreme cases panic attacks. There are many reasons why you may be experiencing anxiety and therapy can be helpful in uncovering the root of the issue and learning new coping skills to manage your anxiety.

Life/Career Transitions

So many of us feel stuck and uncertain about how to move forward when big changes come into our lives. We may feel like a boat out a sea with no oars, getting pushed around by the waves of life with no say in which direction we truly want to go. We settle for less than we deserve because we get told that’s just the way life is but it doesn’t have to be so.  Whether you're going through a major life transition or thinking about changing careers it can be overwhelming and feel frightening. Therapy can help you uncover what is holding you back while discovering your heart's truth so that you can move forward  with confidence and courage. It is possible to live a fulfilling and rewarding life. The first step is being honest with yourself and clear about your intentions.

Highly Sensitive People

Has anyone ever said to you “you're too sensitive” or “you're too emotional?” Do you feel things a lot more deeply than others? If so, you're not alone. As a highly sensitive person myself, I also grew up hearing the same remarks. It gets exhausting and overwhelming to feel everything so deeply and to constantly be at the mercy of your emotions. Being highly sensitive can feel like a curse but it’s quite the opposite, it’s actually a super power and like all super powers it comes with many gifts that one must learn to manage and harness. Therapy can provide a safe space to learn how to manage your emotions and harness them in a way that will empower you to live a joyful and fulfilling life.

Working Women

So often as working women we struggle to balance our career, family, relationships, personal aspirations and self-care. We feel worked to the bone trying to make it all happen. This can lead to us feeling defeated, burnt out and unappreciated. It can be a dark and lonely place leading us to depression, anxiety, and feeling imposter syndrome. We loose our true essence when we sacrifice our dreams and settle for less than we deserve.

However; this doesn’t have to be the case. As Ambitious working women we can have it all without self-sacrifice. We can have balance, peace and support as we build. Building a life style that honors our hearts and visions is possible. We don’t have to be captive to our limiting beliefs and blocks that keep us small. We deserve to live an abundant and prosperous lives. Therapy can be a great source of support, encouragement and guiding light.

Latino Community

As a child of immigrants and a Latina myself, I am intimately familiar with the many challenges and struggles our Latino community faces. From fear of deportation, discrimination, identity, family dynamics, colonialism to struggling to set boundaries and prioritizing self-care, there’s a lot on our shoulders and hearts. Our ancestors have had to fight tooth and nail to survive and thanks to their resiliency and tremendous strength we’re still here and are a force to be reckoned with. Having the support of a therapist to talk to about our experiences and struggles can help us heal deep rooted traumas and unload the weight we carry so we can thrive and live joyful fulfilling lives.
